Chester C. Hartlein, 79, died June 5, 1987, at Abington Memorial Hospital. A resident of Lansdale, he taught industrial arts in Philadelphia public high schools for 36 years. After joining Benjamin Franklin High School in 1936, he taught there for four years. He then taught industrial arts at Olney High School for 32 years, including at Olney’s night school, before retiring in 1972.
