Aww, sorry to see this. Bob was such a great, kind kid in high school. We grew up in the same neighborhood and had a lot of fun times together. Were in some of the same classes. So sorry for his family to lose him. May he Rest In Peace.

Robert Brinker was a real nice guy. I met him in 3rd grade when I went to Franklin school. I think back then everything was a competition with sports & school work etc. Everyone in our class called him Robin. I asked him one time "OK so whats your real name is it Robin or is it Robert"? He told me his family was from Germany and his family all called him Robin so back in Franklin it was Robin. When he got older Creighten & Olney it was Robert. We were in the Franklin school orchestra he was 1st chair in the trumpet row me snare drum. He was very good . And he also had the shiniest horn in the orchestra . He must have polished it daily. He was one of the kids in our class that I looked up too. We lost touch in Olney . He will be missed by all who knew him . Rest in peace Robin.

Like Mike, I too knew him as Robin. One memory I have of him was him telling us about how he was at the Brussels Worlds Fair of 1958. I believe his telling gave me a bit of wanderlust; the desire to travel. In Brussels a few years ago, I saw from a distance the Atomium, a relic from the fair, and thought immediatly of Robin.

Growing up Bob was one of my best friends.I had lunch at his house many times while we at Franklin. His band practice usually ended about the same time as track and cross country so we traveled to and from Olney together. Unfortunatly I lost track of him after graduation, and despite many attempts with Google was not able to locate him. When I saw the obituary in the Reading Eagle, I still was not sure if it was our "Robin". His widow confirmed it for me when I went to his memorial service. It saddened me to learn that we lived so close to each other without knowing it. From the pictures I saw at the service, it was apparent though that Bob had lived a rich and full life and that tempered my sadness somewhat.
