LEE, on December 1, 2012. Husband of Judy (nee Orman), father of Stefanie (Richard) Getzoff, Kimberly Nitzky, Sara Nitzky and Becky Nitzky, brother of Sheila (Jeffrey) Weiner, grandfather of Julia, Matthew and Ryan Getzoff. Services and Interment private. Family and friends are welcome at the late residence Sunday and Monday. Contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice .

Although i met Lee in 10th grade, I became somewhat friendlier with him later in HS when we both discovered that our families were moving out of Philly to apartments in the suburbs. We used to complain about the prospects of finishing HS with a long commute.
I didn't know what I wanted to do after HS.-Lee convinced me to try the same college that he planned to attend on Long Island. .. which I did until I transferred to PSU the next year. We spent a lot of time during freshman orientation laughing at all the crazy NY accents... when it was us that had the strong Philly accents. We both were going with people from home, so we made a few trips back to Philly together.
We didn't keep in touch until we were in our late 20's and my husband and and I moved next to Lee's cousin for a while. We would hang out whenever Lee would visit them, and always had a great time.
I will always remembber Lee as a good guy, with a soft spoken manner, and a sheepish grin. He was a little bit Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, and Ryan O'Neil.
I thinki almost every girl who crossed his path had a crush on him,.
RIP-friend... and one of the good guys.
