MICHAEL K. HOOVER, 47, of the Villas section of Lower Township, died Tuesday at home. Mr. Hoover retired four years ago after 20 years with the Philadelphia Police Department, Homicide Section, Dept. 25, East Division. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 of Philadelphia, and served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. Born in Philadelphia, he lived in the Roxboro section of the city before moving to this area one year ago. Surviving are his daughter, Hope of Philadelphia; one stepson, John Delaney of Philadelphia; his mother, Joan of Villas; two brothers, Gregory and Joseph, both of Villas; and one sister, Joan of Villas. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Raymond's Roman Catholic Church, Ocean & Bayshore roads, Villas. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
