I had Senior Bisk for Spanish 3 in 12th grade. I shouldn't have been in his class . I barely made it thru Spanish 1 even after having it for 2 years. He was a real down to business teacher , very serious about pronunciation . me on the other hand not so serious about Spanish. I worked after school at a burger joint till 11PM which made it tough to get up in the morning. Of course I had Spanish 1st period 8:10 , I was on the front row , I would routinely fall asleep , his responce was to hit me on top of my head with a book and then make me hand out papers to the class. Good times R.I.P. Senior Bisk.

I had Senior Bisc for Spanish.  He was very passionite about Spanish and how we said anything.  I had a job at Pantry Pride at Front and Godfrey but fortunately I did not work after about 9 PM so unlike Michael Hofkin I could get a decent nights sleep.  Fun stuff to remember!

I was one of those gluttons for punishment.  I had Senor Bisk for 3 out of my 4 years of Spanish. I think my 3rd year I had Mustang Sally (can't remember her name but she drove a red Mustang).  I kept taking Spanish since I got good grades.  He was a very tough teacher, with his Lucky Strikes cigarettes in his breast pocket.  I never thought of this until reading Mike and Matthew's posts but I think I can say that Senor Bisk was the most influentioal teacher that I had at Olney.  As I said before, I got goods grades in Spanish.  When I got to Penn State I placed out of all the beginning Spanish classes with A's so I kept taking them.  By the time I needed to declare a major my counselor who was also the Spanish Chair said I was more than halfway there.  So I graduated as a Spanish major. Senor Bisk...RIP
