Willaim Minton

          William E. "Bill" Minton, of Glenside, PA, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 12, 2016, at his home. He was 66.

 

            Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Regina M. Minton Green, of East Rockhill Twp., PA, and the late John Minton. He was a 1967 graduate of Olney High School, Philadelphia.

 

            A U. S. Marine Corps Veteran, he served stateside during the Vietnam War.

 

            Mr. Minton worked in the construction and home improvement industry.

 

            He was Catholic in faith.

 

            A member of the Arthur V. Savage American Legion Post No. 100, Glenside (Wyndmoor), PA, he was a sports enthusiast and loved fishing. He also was an avid reader and a U.S. History buff.
 

            Surviving with his mother are a brother, Stephen Minton and his wife Maryte, of Ashland City, TN; and two sisters, Carol Fajardo and her husband Joseph, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Marie Dumont, of Perkasie, PA. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph P. and John Minton, and a sister, Patricia A. Minton.

 

            His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 19, 2016, at St. Luke's the Evangelist R.C. Church, 2316 Fairhill Avenue, Glenside, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass.

 

            Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

 

            Arrangements are by the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.

Jessica Smith (McGowan)

Sad loss; I was in chemistry lab with him; cool guy, great looking.  I pray that his family will be comforted.  Rest in peace.
