Al was one of the good guys. Always friendly, funny, and very kind. I got to know his family in later years through mutual friends, and Al's son Brett and I bonded as guitar players - he actually played a few tunes with me on occasion, at their family events. Olney HS had so many wonderful people, and Al was certainly one of the best. RIP, old friend.
